If I had a lot of money

I would like to say I would give it all away, you know, to charity, or something wonderfully thoughtful and moral and good.

But I think I might end up spending an unfortunately significant amount of it on things I think are scrumptiously beautiful, like Painted Ceramic Rings and Finishing Touch Necklaces from

So it's probably a good thing that I am, and will for quite some time, be substantially poor.

And How Could I Forget

The most important announcement of late:

Bill turned in his final, final draft of his gradute paper and is set to graduate in December!

Hooray!!!!!!

I am proud of you my fabulous husband!

My Husband, The Master Chef

I have, in the midst of hyper fatigue and frustration, found two positives in the madness of holiday retail life.

First, I have four extra hours today to rest, wash clothes and catch up on life because our store is having to cut hours this week - (a result of having a floor set, a regional visit, a window change and promotional updates, all within a 24 hour period the week after Black Friday). A very welcome surprise that allows me to make this post.

The Second, and by far the most impressive, my husband has the quite impressive makings of a fabulous cook! During the past couple weeks I have been working ridiculous hours, getting ready for, and sustaining the busyness that holiday shopping drives, and Bill has taken on the temporary role of house husband - although he's so wonderful at it, I may not let him retire!
Last night I came home to him folding laundry, and once I unloaded bags, unwound scarves and sweaters, and pried shoes off my feet he pulled out two bowls of the best tasting turkey salad I have ever tasted. If I could find our little camera I would delight you with photos of the two masterpieces, though I daresay they would not do the yummy delights justice.

How did a girl like me get so lucky?
Must be my winning charm and irresistible good looks.

I love my husband, but Oh you Palmetto Beach!

Bill will be giving a lecture tomorrow on the once famous Palmetto Beach, a no longer existent amusement park that was located in Warrington where one can now find a subdivision by the name of Star Lake.

I would like to take a moment and tell the world that I think I have a fabulous husband of whom I am very, very proud.

The article will be appearing in full in an upcoming issue of the North West Florida Heritage Magazine for those of who are not able to attend this world changing event.

Thank you!

(The subject line for this post is a modified version of an actual quote Bill found which was the original title of his paper: "I love my wife, but Oh you Palmetto Beach!")
